Below are some before and after (or progress) photos of people’s homes that I have had the pleasure of helping. I love to see the difference that organizing, purging, and redecorating can make in someone’s home and life. These first three photos are evidence of a couple who stays busy constantly, has multiple hobbies, lots of sentimental items, and many items belonging to the their grown children. Garages/shops can be daunting when things get this far, but there is no project too big. As always, functionality is the goal. If we make it easy to maintain a space, we can avoid a situation like this from happening again. The result is a garage where they can now park their cars and their grandkids' toys! Sentimental items were sorted through and safely placed where their children can get them when they're ready. Items for hobbies such as fixing up old vehicles, hunting, fishing, crafting, and yard work were also placed in designated areas of the accompanying garage and shop (which I also organized). Being neurodivergent, such as having ADHD, can create many challenges for individuals. For example, having many projects going at once as well as procrastinating the big projects (like organizing). I can tackle the big organizing project for you and organize your belongings in a way that works for your ADHD. (Note, this was a progress photo, not the final result.) Situations like this can be the result of many things, including physical or mental limitations or illness. It can be scary to ask for help in these situations and overwhelming to think about where to start. My job is to show kindness and understanding and to provide an outside perspective that is encouraging so I can help you restore clarity and joy. This family needed some help with reorganizing closets and deciding on better places to keep things... The result was a space that is more functional for their busy lifestyle. I love the cozy energy of this space that serves as the living and WFH area for this person. We were able to keep the cozy feeling after tidying up and organizing the space in a way that is easier to maintain. It can be easy for a laundry space to get out of hand, especially one that's in the basement where we tend to toss things to "deal with later." Now everything has a designated spot and it's easy to put something back after it's been used, even when you're in a hurry. An entryway is another area that can easily turn chaotic for busy families. When everything has a designated place, it's easier to put things away immediately. This helps tremendously with keeping the energy of your home and mind clear.
